Sash window repairs

Sash window repairs in Essex were carried out by Alex and Ross to this incredible curved bay. They were given the incredible challenge of removing all the rotten window sills and exterior mullions and replacing them with the handcrafted sills to match their originals along with the ornate mullions.

 

Templates were taken off the sills and taken to the joinery yard to replicate.  All the sills were manufactured in sapele hardwood, and Ross and Alex went to work and started to hack out the old window sills. Once all the rotten window sills were removed it was time to put in the new ones. The sills were made to measure and the mullions, once fitted, finished the job off perfectly.

 

The property was in Brentwood in Essex, and the sash windows were also repaired and draught proofed.
