When we were asked to carry out sash window restoration work on this delightful heritage home in the heart of Norfolk, well you’d be a fool to turn down such an opportunity.

 

In total, we renovated 11-sash windows, with the most notable ones being the 5 windows in the drawing room. Each sash weighed 80lb, some of the heaviest we have come across. Due to the weight, they were hung on chains as opposed to the traditional cord. With the windows measuring 2.6 metres we needed all our experience to ensure that the windows were renovated safely and successfully.

 

This property dated back to the 17th Century so it was a real privilege to carry out work restoration on sash windows with such history.
