On behalf of Antas Ltd, we were delighted to carry out double glazing to the ground floor sash windows of this property in Halesworth, Suffolk.

 

We comfortably managed to fit the slim double glazed units into the existing frames. With the frames measuring 42mm in depth, a deeper rebate was achieved with minimal change to the original moulding. However, with our specialist skills, we are able to achieve the required rebate in frames measuring as little as 35mm.  Each sash was carefully removed by Chris and his team sanded back the old paint, repaired and filled any defects in the timber and undercoated ready for decorating. In order for the windows to be perfectly balanced additional lead weight was added to the existing cast iron weights.

 

The windows were later painted once the putty had set and we were welcomed back to change the broken sash cords on 17 other windows throughout the property.  It was great going back and seeing the windows painted.  As you can see from the pictures in the gallery below the windows looked fantastic!
